Main Career DescriptionĮver dreamed about making Video Games? Well here is your opportunity to make your dream come true.īefore you can really get involved in developing the latest game, you must prove your competence and dedication by testing the current game in development and reporting any bugs you can find.Ĭareer Track Level 2 – Assistant Concept Artist Yeah Gas and Giggles has been really easy to spot.Mod The Sims – Mods / Traits: Game Developer Career by Strongfinger. I feel like I read that being focused can help, so maybe trying to boost that could be good. I never thought about anything for moods. Extending the work day is something I've been doing almost constantly lately, and I feel it's the main reason I've actually gotten to level 9 already (that and I have no life so I've played more than I'd like to admit). Before ever taking the career I spent a long time getting some of the needs reward traits, so now only fun, social and hygiene decay. This pack definitely needs some work, and I'm really glad it's a part of the EA Play Edition and that I didn't actually buy it. For example the garden in the science lab never seemed to function properly, so goals like watering plants or telling a co-worker to garden were impossible most of the time. I also tried the science career, and it was almost as bad though maybe worse since there were days where I just couldn't do some of the daily goals. I listed some in my original comment, and so much of what you mentioned I've seen as well. I personally think the entire pack could really use a refresh, it has so much potential but it's hampered by I don't even want to get into all of the issues I've seen. This career has produced a lot of complaints over the years. But some illnesses overlap with symptoms so that confuses things further. Gas and Giggles is usually easy to spot too if they are laughing and have stripes. So if you see anyone swatting imaginary things in front of their face, that's usually Starry Eyes. I also Google the symptoms to get a faster diagnosis and look for any obvious illnesses in people queuing too so I can treat them and get them out of the way. Tend to a few patients at a time and watch them (as you are completing other tasks) for obvious signs as some things aren't clear at first. My tips would be to always extend the work day, keep snacks in the inventory, mood boosting remedies can be really handy to keep a Sim focused. The call outs take too long and mine is bugged so I can't return to the hospital after a home visit. The diagnostics don't actually produce an accurate diagnosis, you often have to guess. Sometimes other staff just freeze in front of my Sim so they are blocked in. Other staff do nothing, the place gets filthy, the gadgets are often half broken and no matter how senior your Sim is it appears that they are expected to do the cleaning and repairs as well as tend to a hospital full of patients. I agree completely it is so incredibly annoying! I've been playing it for years and still been unable to max the career because of bugs. Does anyone have any tips or anything you could suggest to make it less tedious and annoying? If I was playing on PC I'd just use mods to tweak various aspects of it, probably even do it myself, but unfortunately I'm on Xbox since my PC seems to be having issues plus I wouldn't have access to Get To Work on my PC version anyway. I'm using a guide to help identify signs and symptoms, though most of the time the patients seem to show no signs or symptoms and just sit there.ĭoes this get any better as I earn more promotions, because right now I find this career irritating and repetitive. I just tried to queue the x-ray test, yet instead of actually doing that the game decided the patient should yell at my sim some more before ignoring my second attempt at queuing the x-ray test. That mean interaction glitch isn't making things any better, because either my sim or the patients will randomly decide to act like total jerks. My sim also seems to shock the patients a little too often when trying to take their temperature. I had the "swab for sample" interaction fail at least 4 times in a row recently. I finally got the treadmill test to succeed after failing at least 6 times in a row, which it was definitely more than 6 though I wasn't always counting. My sim is up to level 6, with a maxed out logic skill, but I swear these tests fail more times than they succeed and it takes so long just to properly diagnose anyone. I'm trying it now, and it just feels like it was designed to be frustrating instead of fun. Information, Guides and Announcements for the EA app.
